Driver freed by firefighters after vehicle overturns on M60 near Swinton

A driver of a Renault Clio escaped serious injury after his car overturned on a busy stretch of the M60.

Rush-hour motorists were hit by long delays after the driver had to be freed by firefighters from the vehicle near to J15 for the M61 Swinton Interchange and J16 A666 Pendlebury.

Fire crews and paramedics were called at around 5.45pm.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the woman had to be cut free, but is understood to have suffered only minor injuries.
