Car crashes are always traumatic for those involved. As well as the damage caused to the cars themselves, the drivers and/or passenger can suffer the following injuries:

  • Whiplash (the most common injury resulting from a car accident);
  • Soft tissues damage;
  • Broken bones;
  • Spinal cord injuries;
  • Post traumatic stress.

These injuries may be apparent at the time of the accident, or may surface at a later date. They may require long term healthcare, or time taken off work. It goes without saying that there can be extreme physical pain and mental anguish which can last for years.
