The 19-year-old mum was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Although there was no suggestion that the baby had inhaled smoke, she was also given oxygen as a precaution.

A further victim, the woman's partner was later treated at hospital for finger burns.

Compensation for a house fire

House fires can be an incredibly difficult and traumatising experience for any individual and in most situations the last thing that you are thinking about is making a compensation claim. For a family who has lost everything in a house fire it can be a tough experience to have to go through courts and compensation claims, and in this situation it's often better to leave it in the hands of the experts who can help you through it every step of the way.

If your house fire has been caused through no fault of your own, perhaps by a piece of faulty electrical equipment or faulty wiring in your home, then you could look to make a compensation claim to cover any costs that you have incurred, any damage that has been caused and any psychological trauma that you have sustained as a result of your injuries.
