Two accidents cause major disruptions on the M60 at Junction 23

Major tailbacks confronted motorists who were travelling on the M60 anti-clockwise on Tuesday.

An overturned lorry just before Junction 23 at Ashton closed a series of lanes on the motorway, but these have since re-opened despite creating heavy delays.

Tailbacks were also caused at Junction 13 at the entry to the slip road after a broken-down car transporter created further delays. 

Delays lasted just over an hour.
